YOUR BI-WEEKLY MOTIVATION

Wednesday , November 22, 2016.

It is Fall Season and, as the leaves continue to fall and the cooler winds blow in, we are reminded that Thanksgiving is just around the corner. Sometimes, we take things (including help we get from others) for granted & forget to thank them. Thanksgiving gives you another opportunity to be thankful for every good deed others have done for us and the needy throughout the year. I am thankful to you all family, friends and team members for your friendship and love. I ask you to ponder and consider the many wonderful blessings we enjoy in this great country of ours! Pray for our friends in other parts of the world who have been tormented by ugly acts of terrorism. Let us all pray for PEACE this year!!

UNDENIABLE FACTS OF LIFE

Don’t educate your children to be rich. Educate them to be happy. So, when they grow up, they will know the value of things not the price.

Eat your foods as your medicines. Otherwise, you have to eat medicines as food as you get older.

Believe that one who loves you will never leave you because he or she will always find reason to hold on.

There is a lot of difference between human being and being human. A few understand it.

You are loved when you are born. You will be loved when you die. In between you have to manage….!

If you want to walk fast, walk alone! But, if you want to walk far, walk together!!

Best doctors in the world are Sunlight, Rest, Exercise, Diet , Self Confidence and Friends. Maintain them to enjoy a healthy and fulfilling life.

Gratitude is the inward feeling of kindness received. Thankfulness is the natural impulse to express that feeling. Thanksgiving is the following of that impulse.........Henry Van Dyke

Few Points to ponder over this long weekend….courtesy of Andy Rooney…

1.      I have learned that just one person saying to me, “you have made my day!” makes my day,

2.      I have learned that being kind is more important than being right,

3.      I have learned that I can always pry for someone when I don’t have strength to help him/her in some other way.

4.      I have learned that sometimes all a person needs is a hand to hold and a heart to understand.

5.      I have learned that we should be glad God doesn’t give us everything we ask for.

6.      I have learned that money doesn’t buy Class.

7.      I have learned that it’s those small daily happenings that make life so spectacular.

8.      I have learned that under everyone’s hard shell is someone who wants to be appreciated and loved.

9.      I have learned that to ignore the facts does not change the facts.

10.   I have learned that love, not time, heals all wounds.

11.   I have learned that opportunities are never lost; someone will take what you miss.

12.   I have learned that when you harbor bitterness, happiness will dock elsewhere.

13.   I have learned that a smile is an inexpensive way to improve your  looks.

14.   I have learned that everyone wants to live on top of the mountain, but all the happiness and growth occurs while you are climbing.

15.   & finally, I have learned that I wish I could have told my mom & brother that I love them one more time before they passed away.

YOUR BI-WEEKLY MOTIVATION

Saturday , December 10, 2016.

What a lovely message sent by one of my college friends.

From Tyler Perry:  I have this tree analogy when I think of people in my life, be it friends, family, acquaintances, employees, co-workers, whomever...

They are all placed inside what I call my tree test.

It goes like this:

LEAF PEOPLE

Some people come into your life and they are like leaves on a tree. They are only there for a season. You can't depend on them or count on them because they are weak and only there to give you shade. Like leaves, they are there to take what they need and as soon as it gets cold or a wind blows in your life they are gone. You can't be angry at them, it's just who they are.

BRANCH PEOPLE

There are some people who come into your life and they are like branches on a tree. They are stronger than leaves, but you have to be careful with them. They will stick around through most seasons, but if you go through a storm or two in your life it's possible that you could lose them. Most times they break away when it's tough. Although they are stronger than leaves, you have to test them out before you run out there and put all your weight on them. In most cases they can't handle too much weight. But again, you can't be mad with them, it's just who they are.

ROOT PEOPLE

If you can find some people in your life who are like the roots of a tree then you have found something special. Like the roots of a tree, they are hard to find because they are not trying to be seen. Their only job is to hold you up and help you live a strong and healthy life. If you thrive, they are happy. They stay low key and don't let the world know that they are there. And if you go through an awful storm they will hold you up. Their job is to hold you up, come what may, and to nourish you, feed you and water you.

Just as a tree has many limbs and many leaves, but few roots, so are human beings too!!

Look at our own life. How many leaves, branches and roots do we have?

What are we in other people's lives? BE A ROOT!!

“Speak less than you know; have more than you show.”

William Shakespeare

YOUR BI-WEEKLY MOTIVATION

 Humanity Simplified…

If you could fit the entire population of the world in a to a village consisting of 100 people, maintaining the proportions of all the people living on the Earth, that village would consist of:

57 Asians

21 Europeans

14 Americans (North, Central & South)

7  Africans

There would be:

52 women and 48 men

30 Caucasians & 70  non-Caucasians

30 Christians and 70 non-Christians

89 Heterosexuals and

11 Homosexuals

6 people would possess 59% of the wealth and they would all come from the USA.

80 would live in poverty

70 would be illiterate

50 would suffer from hunger and malnutrition

1 would be dying

1 would be being born

1 would own a computer

1 would have a university degree

If we looked at the world in this way, the need for acceptance and understanding would be obvious. But consider again the following:

  1. If you woke up in the morning in good health, you have more luck than a million people, who won’t live through the week.
  2. If you have never experienced the horror of war, the solitude of prison, the pain of torture, were not close to death from starvation, then you are better off than 500 million people.
  3. If you can go to your place of worship without the fear that someone will assault or kill you, then you are luckier than 3 billion people.
  4. If you have a full refrigerator, clothes on your back, a roof over your head and a place to sleep, you are wealthier than 75% of the population.
  5. If you have money in the bank & wallet, you are one of 8 of the privileged few amongst 100 people in the world.

And so,

WORK like you don’t need the money.

LOVE  like nobody has ever hurt you.

DANCE like nobody is watching.

SING like nobody is listening.

LIVE like this is the paradise on Earth.

Wishing you all a gratifying and glorious 2017!!!

I have no way of knowing how people really feel, but the vast majority of those I meet couldn't be nicer. Every once in a while someone barks at me. My New Year's resolution is not to bark back…….. Tucker Carlson
