Model Area not showing

Harry, some of my students are reporting the same issue, the model area is not showing, like in the attached image, what can it be?

That computer must be running a very old version of Mac OS. The Log Viewer shows the problem -- the computer supports only Open GL version 1.1. At least version 2.1 is required.

I notice now that it is a Windows computer. However, the problem is still that the supported version of Open GL is too low. It could be either integrated graphics on a very old CPU or a very old graphics card. In the latter case, a driver update or a cheap new graphics card would solve the problem.
