Dear Community,

Here quick one only the have the right understanding on utilization terms used in JaamSim:

In case of several servers (for instance 10 servers & 10 related resources) the term [server].utilization (call it here the time utilization) gives back the level how busy the servers over the entire simulation time.

It does “not” give back the utilization over the total capacity (call it here the capacity utilization) of all available servers.

So, if only 2 out of 10 servers are fully busy over the full simulation time of 10 s and 8 servers would be idle, the time utilization = 100% and the capacity utilization = 20%.

Is that correct ?

Many thanks for your advice.

The 'Utilisation' output is always equal to the fraction of total time that an object is in its 'Working' state.

I assume that your question is about the EntityProcessor object, which is in the 'Working' state whenever any one or more of its units is in use. The capacity utilisation for this object is equal to the 'UnitsInUseAverage' output divided by the 'Capacity' output, assuming that the capacity is constant.
