I have a new computer running Windows 10 Pro.
When I ran the most recent Jaamsim version. I got an error stating it needed OpenGL 2.1 and my version was earlier.
No view window loaded.
I updated the graphics drivers. Ran Jaamsim again.
No errors and a View Window Appears, but is in active. I cannot drag and drop an object and have it display in the view window. The program appears to work fine, just no graphics. I opened and ran a previous simulation. I appeared to load and run fine, just not graphics or anything in the view window.
Thank you
Dave

More information on the problem. Jaamsim is working. The objects are on the view window, and active, just invisible. I have no errors when loading.

Problem Solved: Sort of:  The graphics problem is in the Lenovo Ultra Dock not in the PC graphics driver itself. I use the Ultradock for multiple screens. I am displaying on the laptop screen it is fine. But not on a screen connected to the Ultradock.
Thanks for everyone's help.

David,

Your problem might be related to the 32-bit version of Java, if that is the version you are running. Intel's OpenGL driver for Windows 10 seems to have some issues with 32-bit Java. Using the 64-bit version of Java and the appropriate version of JaamSim will solve the problem.

Hi Harry

I am just getting back into the swing again of sorting out an assignment for my students. I was having a similar problem of no View1 window.  It did appear after what seemed quite an age.  I have posted this once before, and I thought it prudent to post again.

In the summer I had a problem with my PC and had to format the hard-drive, and reinstall everything.  Fortunately I do back my work up monthly (Phew!!).

To the point.

I had to reinstall my antivirus software F Secure. Within F Secure is something called DEEPGUARD, last time I had to turn this off, for JAAMSIM to work correctly, now you can exempt programs from its scrutiny.  I have exempted JAAMSIM, and all is fine.

Hope this may help someone.

Regards

Mike H.

I'm having a similar problem, no View window when I open JaamSim "normally". When I run JaamSim through "Run as Administrator" then it works fine.

So for me there is no problem, just I'll have a chat with my IT-department before using it for student assignments (probably it will run och their own PCs but not on the Uni's PCs - which would be embarassing for the Uni).

Leo,

Let me know what your IT department says about this problem. Is it the antivirus software or security settings on your university's computers or something else?
