Dear All,

I am just trying modelling a manufacturing pull system. Dependent on the system sometimes the ThresholdExpression OpenCondition criteria releases more than one entity before it again checks the criteria.

Is it possible to always limit the release to "one" entity only (like a pull system) .. ?

Dear community,

Attached, find a simple process to control the Queue3. The intention was to limit with the ExpressionThreshold Queue3 to < 5 elements (see open condition).

Unfortunately, Queue3 varies now between 0 and 6 elements. Could someone explain the tolerence ?

Hello Sepp,

I looked your model. I changed the times from hour to seconds, just to see it better.

I think the problem is the ExpressionThreshold3 just checks for the cueue3. I changed the OpenCondition within the ExpressionThreshold to '([Queue3].QueueLength + [EntityConveyor3].NumberInProgress) < 5' to take the current enntities in the EntityConveyor3 into the condition and it worked from my point of view.

Yes, it perfectly works now considering the conveyor in progress .. playing around with the conditions, I also realized that the in-progress part caused the variations.
