Hallo everyone,
I'm working on a Thesis called "Windows production simulation with Jaamsim". In our country i didn't find any article on your app and i'm following you for over a year and a half. So, i decided to do a thesis with your software (hope more people will find software's usefulness) and the production simulation in my company. If the time will be on my side (till the end of March), I also want to write a program, which will generate the simulation from our future production jobs, that are generated daily.
I'll managed too solve some phases, but i got stuck at phase 4 and 5 (maybe even before and I don't know about it)
But first I'll explain what is happining in my simulation. Maybe someone else could use something from it.
Phase 1
1. first i generate new 6m long PVC sticks and send them to input transport table. If the machine is not working, the stick goes to the maschine. The Input table has queue for 10 sticks.
2. Machine is working with no queues. The transport table represents the queue line.
3. cuttet sticks i'll send to output transport table with queue lenghth of 15 (it can't bo more then that)
Phase 2
1. All pieces from cutting machine then come to transport table for 75 cuttet sticks
2. Many pieces must go through process ( 4 of 5 ). This is all happening on the same table
3. the proccesed pieces than send to make packeges with four in them (because windows in our home are mad of four pieces - left, right, up and down ... o.k. and glass in the middle)
Phase 3
1. Then I check, whick machine is available. The priority has the upper machine (the lower has the same workflow as the upper, but i didn't completed it yet). if the queue length is lover or equal 15. Max queue length of the machine is 19.
2. this represents the input transport table for the machine
3. this is machine processing
4. output table of the machine
5. again i pack to 4 and then send them further, because in the next step, i'll send the pieces to the transport wehicles and they must be on the same wehicle
Phase 4
This is where i'm stuck
In picture i have a branch and then 3 wehicles (in reality i'll need 30 of them). This wehicles are needed to transport the pieces between Phase 3 and Phase5 (welding machines - this yet not in simulation). Then they go backwards or. they are available for branch 4.1.(each way is o.k.) One wehicle can have maximum 92 pieces (12 fields with 8 cutted pieces).
In Phase5 I'll have 4 Welding machines and they can get any one of transport wehicles. If the machine is in standby it can also receive the wehicle, which is nut full and also not empty ( for example 20). Machine must be working at all the time. When this wehicle is being processed, the branch in phase 4.1 can't use that one. The welding machine is not receiving any new wehicles if still has pieces in queue. The machine process 4 pieces at a time.
All wehicles must be processed
sequentially. If wehicle number 5 was emptied, the next wehicle delegated to the welding machines will be wehicle Nr. 6.
I hope that my English is understandable. Please give some info if that is solvable as i have described it. I would really appritiate it. I have attached also the cnf file.
