How to import schedule ?

Hello Community, 

I was introduced to Jaamsim this summer as a useful tool for conducting process-based simulations for applications in aviation. My latest assignment was to simulate winter operations, the input of which will be a flight schedule where I would have two entity types (narrow and wide-body aircraft) generated based on an actual schedule. 

My questions are: how are entity schedules entered in Jaamsim? What kind of document shall I feed into the model?

Thank you in advance as my simulation knowledge is quite limited at the moment, one small step toward improvement every day :)

Patti,

Use the FileToMatrix object to import the schedule data. The arrival time and data for each entity is contained in a row of the data file. You can create the schedule using Excel and then export it as a tab-delimited file. The attached example shows how it works.
