Hello,

I am encountering a silly issue with PrepareJAABAData. Trying to use it to convert tracking data generated by CADABRA / Eyrun's new fly tracker (in development).

The manual at http://jaaba.sourceforge.net/DataFormatting.html#PrepareJAABADataInputFiles says that only the following two input files are required from CADABRA:

  • Qtrax (CADABRA):
    • Video file
    • Trx mat file: MATLAB mat file containing trajectories output by Qtrax.
However, the v5.0 and v6.0 GUIs seem to ask for an ROI file:

It would not let me proceed with the conversion unless I give it an ROI mat file. Please can someone clarify what this mat file is and where it comes from? Alternatively, if this is a bug - please could you help resolve it?

Thanks,

MD

If you are using Eyrun's fly tracker you don't need to prepare the data. The tracker generates a JAABA folder. You can open on JAABA.exe -> Click NEW -> Click on the Folder with the JAABA files and it will ask you if you want to generate missing files. You might have trouble with the part where the FLY-VS-FLY tracker creates a softlink to the original movie in JAABA folder. If you know MATLAB you can write the code. Or perhaps ask help here in this forum.

Sincerely,
Sumit
