Good morning Kristin,
I am writing regarding installing/running JAABA on OS X. Apparently, JAABA cannot resolve the path for the MCR and it is returning an error.
We've downloaded and installed MCR R2014a [R2014a (8.3)]. We set the DYLD_LIBRARY_PATH path in .bashrc :
export DYLD_LIBRARY_PATH=/Applications/MATLAB/MATLAB_Compiler_Runtime_2014a/v83/runtime/maci64:/Applications/MATLAB/MATLAB_Compiler_Runtime_2014a/v83/sys/os/maci64:/Applications/MATLAB/MATLAB_Compiler_Runtime_2014a/v83/bin/maci64:
We also downloaded
JAABA_MAC_0.6.0_2014a.zip
When we open JAABA.app, there is an error report:
"Cannot locate valid install areaapplauncher cannot locate a valid install area.If an MCR is not in the default location then you must establish a valid install area by using the system preferences panel."
How can the proper path to the "default location"
be set? Could you either provide a command-line example or exact instructions how this is to be set via the system preferences panel?
Conversely, it might be easier if we knew what the "default location" is supposed to be. We can move the MCR to that directory instead.
We're trying this on a high sierra (10.13.4), but presumably setting the path for JAABA will not be so version-dependent.
Thanks,Dionyssios
