Hi everyone!

I'm trying to use FlyTracker and JAABA to analyze fly courtship behavior, but unfortunately I'm running into some issues.

After adding the experiment directory generated by FlyTracker, when I press "Done" I encounter a "Movie Shorter than Expected" error that prevents me from proceeding. I am running JAABA on MATLAB R2024a, and I converted my .avi video to .ufmf video using the any2ufmf tool linked in JAABA's documentation. I've added a screenshot of the error message below, and here's the link to the experiment directory.

Has anyone had this issue and/or found a way to resolve it?

Thank you so much in advance for any help you can provide!
Kelly

Hi Kelly,

That seems to be just a warning. Have you tried clicking OK and going ahead? If it errors, you might have to load in the trx file and shorten the trajectories by 1 frame. The trx file is a mat file and its structure is detailed https://jaaba.sourceforge.net/DataFormatting.html#TracksFileStructure . For most fields, you'll have to truncate them from nframes long to (nframes-1).

Hello,

Thank you so much for your response! Originally, when I pressed OK, I got a stack trace and I wasn't able to go ahead, but I updated my laptop and now everything's working fine!

However, I do have a couple more questions. I see in JAABA's documentation that we can save a classifier's predictions via the Classifier -> Classify menu, however I cannot find this option in JAABA:

Also, there are multiple videos in my training set, and I was wondering if there is a way to train one classifier on multiple videos.

Thank you so much for all your help!
Kelly
