JA Titan is an online business simulation where student “companies” compete to manufacture and market ‘Holographic Generators’ –  an MP3 player capable of playing music videos accompanied by visual holograms. This program is being introduced to a limited number of high schools this year. Therefore, we are inviting company program students to preview this new program, and challenge your business skills!

Students in teams of 3 or 4 will form virtual companies and compete against each other to run the most profitable company. You will be asked to make 5 key decisions for your company – selecting the right price, production level, marketing expenditure, capital investment, and research & development over 5/6 business cycles. Therefore it will be important for the teams to focus on a strategy and study their financial reports.

Prize: The winning student team will be invited to compete in the JA Titan competition that will be held on June 3rd at Canada’s Wonderland – full park entrance fees will be covered for the whole team. Prizes will also be awarded to the top student teams at the competition.

If you would like to participate in this challenge, please RSVP Dulce Torres dto...@jacentralontario.org and provide your full name. If you would like to be partnered up with friends please include their names and copy them (Cc) to the email as well. Otherwise we will set you up with a team. Please reply by Monday May 1st.

Company program advisors are invited to attend as well. Please also confirm your attendance!
