Hi everybody!

I've just occasionally typed "z" in jsh and got something like this

jsh pmb ~ -->z
ENTER ACCOUNT FOR PH JOBS?
ENTER PASSWORD?
COMMAND TO EXECUTE?
TASK  STARTED ON LINE 1000 FOR ACCOUNT pmb Id AAAQPAAACw1F1yoW
jsh pmb ~ -->

I'm using jbase 4.1.5.11 on Windows (and actually 4.1.5.20 on HP-UX 11.31) and found that there is
C:\jbase4\4.1\bin\z.exe
Due to the name of utility consists of just one letter I could not find in docs what this command do, could anybody give me a clue?

It's for starting a phantom process to run in the background.

Can you send
jshow -c z
and CT VOC z
So that we can analyse and let you know why its doing this. I guess it could be some VOC created.

Andrew,

Like Mike says, "Z" starts a phantom process. Here is a link for the
online documentation on the subject:

http://www.jbase.com/knowledgebase/manuals/3.0/30manpages/man/jbtp1.htm

HTH,

Rick
