J/92 Classic masthead A2 Kite?

Hi all,

My A2 is around 96m2 and fractional - I’m thinking of changing to masthead - according to the sailmaker the current A2 would be well suited for the top. 

I know a couple of classics has changed to masthead - are there any risks with this?

Apart for the rating issue, the most likely rist is to the spar given the extra power a tht ope, creating a longer lever arm with pressure on two fulcrums, the partners ad the hounds, but likely not going to have an A2 set in conditions where this would be a realistic issue.

Anyone With a Masthead kite on a std 92 could improve on this comment I am sure.

Might be worth checking the spar section sizes between the 92 and 92s. Hard to think they are a different section.

May have been manufactured, stiffeners etc. in different locations on the tube...

Only real variable is likely the superior righting moment of the S. Requires a gruntier spar, so this fits with the mast head kite...

The shroud base on the S is much wider so gives more support.
