One thing you can say about J92's is that they photograph well. This was from a race last month on south San Francisco Bay.

The camera battery gave out just after we got the #3 up after the broach, about 20-30 minutes before the turning mark. We hit 15+ knots boat speed several times before the broach with gusts as high as 30kts. 

The ride back was a boring close reach with a bit of chop. We took 3rd place out of 13 double-handed racers.

how big is the smaller jib - and i have a strange question there is no way i can get my main to lay flaked on teh mast like that - i often see boats looking similar to urs on the way out to wednesday nights looking similar - i am jealous ....and what was that first kite?  thanks for posting!

That kite looks tiny. Any idea on the size/specifics of it?  I assume it is some kind of high-clewed blast reacher???

The #3 jib is 110%.

The main flakes perfectly if you alternate the folds on the luff and pull out any creases religiously. Then all you have to do is match the folds on the leech to the luff (they'll be quite wide flakes, don't skimp!). If you have *any* creases, you've got something out of alignment.
