J/92 for Sale Western LI Sound

This is a great race-ready boat. In the four years we’ve owned her, we’ve added a full package of high-end B&G instruments, replaced several halyards and traveler line, re-cored the foredeck with closed cell foam, installed two small portholes on either side of the companionway for neat stowage of lines while racing, and added a cascading backstay for easy adjustment. The Kiwi grip deck is in good condition. The bottom is VC Offshore, 2 coats spring 2022 and probably good for at least one more season. Tiller autopilot with a remote control. Harken Genoa Furler. Whisker pole and track with adjustable-height ring for non-spinnaker racing. Mainsail and tiller cover in good condition. Interior cushions that are in practically new condition.

A Triad Trailer in road ready condition is also available for an additional $5,000.

The boat was originally ordered with no motor and no head. A Yanmar 1GM with SD 20 sail drive was installed in 2012. Still no head, but a very nice bucket!

• 2020 Genoa 145% - Doyle Stratis Carbon, good condition
• 2 spinnakers/Runners in very good condition, one approx 2017, other unknown but lightly used
• 1 spinnaker/Reacher in fair condition, approx 2017

UPDATE: We have decided to keep our J/92, Vixen, for at least another year or two. We thought we wanted something a bit bigger, but as we looked at other boats, realized that we'd sacrifice too much of what we love about racing the J/92.

Thanks to those who have expressed interest and good luck. Keep looking for one - great boat and worth the effort of finding one.
