I started playing around with Google Maps and have created a map on
which the locations of all our boats can be displayed.

http://maps.google.com/maps/ms?ie=UTF8&hl=en&msa=0&msid=111878978032599990746.00045f595f80d4492a901&t=h&z=3

I'm only up to hull #21 so far, but it goes quickly and I have a few
days off. I'm using the location information from the J/92 owners
list, so please let me know if the location of your boat needs to be
revised.

Cheers,
Todd

Todd,

Thank you for doing this.  My boat SurRealEscape #43 should be correct in the owners sight in Lake Champlain, in Burlington, VT.

FYI, Rod Carr's Imagine #45 is also located on Lake Champlain.

Also, I think I recall meeting you at Block Island Race Week a year or 2 ago.

Hi Todd,

Ragtime! is at Marina Village YH in Alameda, Gate 9 (1030 Marina
Village Pkwy). You have her at Marina Bay in Richmond.

As an aside, I kept my J/33 at Marina Bay when I first bought her.
One warm Summer evening I could hear semi-automatic gunfire coming
from downtown Richmond. It was common to have the police chopper
flying overhead with its searchlight lit. But the berth rent was
cheap!

I can probably get the marinas for the other 92's on the Bay if you
need that. I know Puka Wai and Chad's boat are at the Pier 39 marina
in S.F.

That means SIX J/92's (old/classic/traditional) on San Francisco Bay
(that I know of).

Ragtime! (#18) - Bob Johnston
Pappy 'n Me (#29) - Dan Haynes
J Moto (#41) - Chad Salinas
Bangarang (#47) - Carter Ott
Lisa Ann (#65) - Tom Tarlow
Puka Wai (#89) - Nick Ondrejka

Kirk/Carter - If you PM me with Carter's full e-mail, I'll get in
contact with him. Only two of us race (Dan and I, both shorthanded),
but maybe we could plan a J/92 daysail to Angel Island or
something . . . if I haven't sold my boat by then, or decided to keep
it/found a trailer . . . who knows?

Does Bangarang happen to come with a trailer he wants to sell?

Bob J.

Correction - I just remembered that the Tarlows sold "Lisa Ann" last
year
(she was only on the market for a week or two at $59,900!).

Clarification - "Pappy & Me" is at the Brisbane Marina, 400 Sierra
Point Pkwy,
Brisbane, CA. So you can get her out of the 'hood (and Ragtime! too,
when you
get a chance).

"Zephyr" #93, was one of 3-4 shoal-keel 92's. She was in Lake Tahoe
until sold
in 2003, then was moved to So. Calif. and fitted with a deep keel. I
would have
bought her except for the shoal keel.

Keep those cards and letters coming, folks! The map is filling in nicely (up to J/92 #106 now).

I've moved Ragtime! into her new luxury accommodations. ;-)

The owners list shows Lisa Ann owned by Martin Ratner, not Tom Tarlow. Anyone know who keeps her these days (and where)?

Thanks,
Todd

Marty was two owners ago; same with Alan Olson (#93). This list is
getting better (with your efforts!) but is still outdated on many
boats.

I'll ask the broker where "Lisa Ann" went.

Hi Todd,

thanks for the great job you've done. Position of my boat
(Furkolkjaaf) is spot on !
I also wanted to let now that there's another new 92S (Marrakech
Express), the hull # I do not know but it's very recent, more than
mine (#81), which should be located in Monfalcone, Italy. This is not
far away from my home port (Lignano). I do not personally know the
owner, but his name is Riccardo Gratton. I do not have his email
address though.
