Any S folks out there have issues with water leaking in under the aluminum channel the plexiglass cover sits in? Noticed water on the steps and finally sat in the boat during rain today and noted water running in under the aluminum. Best guess is it's seeping around the screw but curious if any other similar experience. I'm uneasy removing the piece lest it bends and then will never seat properly. Don't even know what to call it to search for replacement parts.
Thanks
Patrick

Exact same issue here...for now I'm covering the deckhouse with a sheet...not a real fix indeed

I think it is most likely rainwater collecting on the runners of the slide on the roof.  I have never found it to be significant, just a minor annoyance.  Check the flow of water along the runners to see if that is the cause.

Same issue here. Teroson sealing tape worked for me. Sealant that can be formed by hand and wrapped it around the screws before screwing tight. Its permanently soft compared to sika or panthera and does not crack.

I have not experienced this problem with my 2007 92S (hull # 66, built in France).

The reason is there are small oval shaped drainage holes cut into the bottom outside edge of the aluminum channel in the companionway.  See picture.  The boat came this way from the factory as far as I know (I have owned it since 2011).

Have those as well.
I did learn Monday the screw on the base of the flange was essentially free floating so I presume water seeping in there. Put some sealant in so will see.

Evening all,
It is time to get busy with mastic. Remove the whole aluminium channel and re seal,
Water on the ’shelf’ also builds up.
If this is leaking I am afraid that everything else is probably too.
I have just about done all the fittings in my J92s which is similar vintage!
Happy days.
Becky
