Happy January,

The artic chill finally broke yesterday, which inspired a search for a direct replacement for my Yanmar Engine Instrument Panel pictured here.

Image result for yanmar tachometer wiring diagram

Anyone got a line on a vendor?  I see one here at Torrensen   Part number 128170-91002.  But there’s another part number on this site. Part Number 128170-91001.  Could it be the plug connectors are different than my originals?  Another site suggested they are.  But all  the online diagrams look identical. Suggestions and guidance appreciated.

Andy,

I replaced my panel a few years back. Let me see if I can find the details.

Cheers,
Todd

Yanmar does everything by serial number, give them a call to get the exact match.

That said I have the parts manual.  The one you pictured which is the one that I think most of us have is listed as "Panel (B-Type)" and is part number 128170-91001.  There is a little application chart as part of the parts list says 1GM10, 1GM10VE, 1GM10-B and 1GM10C

There is also a "Panel (B-Type) (New) (Optional) which I have never seen on a J/92 part number 128391-91130.  Application Chart says 1GM10-B

and there is also a "Panel (A-Type) (Optional) which is a very basic panel without a tach.  Part number 128371-91000 Application Chart says 1GM10C

and last there is one that also looks identical to what most of our boats seem to have part number 128670-91001  Application Chart says 1GM10L

I think its the first one but them I am not the yanmar parts guy

Check your email I send you a scan of the page

I replaced my panel in 2013. The part I ordered was 128170-91010, description : Panel Housing, total price : $28.50. This is just the plastic face plate which holds the gauges, switches, etc. The 91001 part is the entire assembly, which is why it's so expensive. You probably don't need to replace all of the items on the panel. I replaced the tach and key switch, and starter button at that time.

You might also want the gasket... 128170-91020. :)

Cheers,
Todd
