I purchased a J 44 that was in a hurricane. Many of them are bent beyond repair. I know the stanchions are 1“ x 25“ high. Does anybody know if they are 5° 10° or straight?

Hey Gary.  I know they are not straight.  I'll try and remember to attempt a measure when I am next out on Honahlee.  I believe on Frolic we did a mix as we had sourcing issues.

White Water Marine in Michigan made replacements for us and a sister ship two years ago - stanchions and bases.  They are better than the originals.  The only issue we had in replacing them was that the boarding gate braces were not quite aligned with the old ones.  I should have filled the old holes & redrilled, but was lazy and forced a fit with a lot of butyl tape.  I believe the sister ship had an easier time of it and they all just dropped right in.
