As others have described, my fuel solenoid has failed and the engine won't shut off. I have been trying to find the manual kill switch to no avail so coming to the group for help. I've attached some pictures. As it's Memorial Day I can't reach a mechanic (though at fuel consumption rate in idle I could probably make it to Labor Day.) Attached are pictures, appreciate your thoughts.

I ran into a similar problem, having removed the fuel solenoid to debug an old pathfinder.  Blocking the air intake SHOULD have worked, but it did not,  Cracking open the fuel filter did the trick.  Of course, I had to re-prime later.

It sure looks like that pull thingie below your throttle may be your manual fuel cutoff.

You should be able to manually pull on the solenoid piston to shut off fuel. I'vd done this on our old Yanmar 4JH3-E.

There should be a fuel shut off valve on the fuel tank

Yes, shut off at the tank, at minimum.  However, I think you will find the shut-off plunger inside the rubber bellows at the left of your pic. You should be able to push it to the left (aft).

The bellows did the trick!i didn’t realize that was a bellows, looked like metal to me, both in the picture and in person. I had tried the fuel tank valve. Not sure if I didn’t give enough time or the valve doesn’t close all the way, but that didn’t work.

Thank you!
