Forward Head

Hi

I wanted to remove the handle to the Y valve that directs the forward head outflow either overboard or to the holding tank and tried using an allen wrench inserted in the small hole (see picture, hole is just to left of small arrow painted on short side of handle) but got no purchase

I assume the handle is meant to come off and is attached through that hole so does anyone know what device works to detach it?

Mine was so corroded in that I used an angle grinder to cut it off.
