Parker's Yard closed this season for renovation

Happy New Year fleet 28 sailors!

I have been informed by Kay VanValkenburgh of the Marblehead Boating Center that MHD Harbors and Waters has scheduled a closure of Parker's this coming season so that they can make improvements to the property. Obviously this is not great news for J/24 sailors like me who launch and pull out at Parker's yard. 

MHD Trading has proposed alternate launching and dry sailing options. I have not heard any other details about this. 

There is a meeting tomorrow night at 6 Anderson St. in Marblehead to discuss this. Meeting starts at 7:30 and I think they are planning to order Chinese food. I'm planning to go. I encourage you to join me.

I’m out of town but glad to here we will have J24 represented.

I’m going to launch at the ATR and the wing it later in the summer.

There is a meeting with the Harbormaster on Monday. I will let you know what, if anything I learn from this.
