'Round the Rocks 2019

We have to make this happen this year! Two years is too long!

So who still has a boat and plans to race this year? Who else has a boat that we can coerce into racing this year? Who needs crew, who needs gear, and who needs help fixing boats?

What else- who can do RC? How much money do we need to get together for shirts, rum, etc?

What can we do to get out of town boats to come and race?

The sooner we set a firm date and get it posted online, the better turnout we will have.

I am interested in any and all input!

If someone else wants to run Round the Rocks this year good for you, good luck and use any club you can convince to host it.  I’ll do my best to get the boat out there if you get 10 boats including mine.

Thanks John! This is very encouraging. The wheels are turning. If it looks we can pull it off, I will let everyone know ASAP. Keep your fingers crossed!

With that said does anyone have a problem with the dates? If we picked the following weekend, would that result in more boats showing up?

If it was like in the past at JYC  it would have been the 22&23 of June this year.  Normally it’s Father’s Day weekend which is the weekend before.

Yes, Fathers Day weekend (Jun 15-16 this year) has been traditional. The weekend after (Jun 22-23) is also an option.
