Buying a used J-22

Hey all, I am posting here because I am looking to get into the J22
class by buying a used boat. Please reply with tips on where to look
online for used J22's, or any other resources to find used boats up
for sale. If you have or know of a specific boat that's for sale,
please let me know. If you have advice on what to look for, or avoid,
when buying a used J22, please post here.

Basically, please help me find a good, used boat that can be made
competitive with a reasonable amount of elbow grease. Info,
resources, advice, offers to sell your boat are all welcomed.

I was also thinking, though, that this thread could become a good
discussion topic for people to share stories about what you've done to
rehab, rebuild and generally improve your boat and for potential
newbies to come for expert advice.

Anyway, thanks in advance for your help and hope to see y'all out on

Thanks for the early replies! I was told I should mention my price
range, and that's a great point. I'm really looking at the lower end
of the price range, the bottom end really. I realize there may not be
a lot of boats in this fleet in that range. But, I'm looking forward
to learning about fixing the boat up and all that. Again, thanks for
the replies and the advice!
