We hope that you all had meaningful chagim and that your year is off to a great start! It has been a busy time, with everyone gearing up for a new programming season, and we look forward to coming together again as a group next week:
Tuesday, October 20, 1-4pm
520 Eighth Avenue, 15th Floor
New York, NY 10018
Please RSVP by email, and read on for more details.
We will kick off our second-to-last CoP gathering with lunch and a connect activity, in which everyone will have the opportunity to share one thing you found meaningful, relevant, or surprising from the book that you chose for your J-LINC "summer reading". This activity is truly open-ended, so you are welcome to share anything from a particular passage or provocation to a reflection or idea you had based on the reading. We look forward to hearing your thoughts!
For nearly three years, your team has worked hard to develop your own brand of Jewish family engagement experiences, rising to challenges both expected and unexpected and venturing beyond your comfort zone to deliver the very best experiences for families. So, what's next? How can your team bring this value to more families at more sites? Several of you have begun raising questions along these lines, and these are the questions we wish to explore in our remaining time as a Community of Practice. To this effect, we have invited Miriam Brousseau to guide us through an interactive presentation on content marketing and strategies for developing a robust digital presence that will support your goals and open the door for new partnerships. Miriam is a social media coach and strategist whom you might know from Darim Online, ELI Talks, or her band, Stereo Sinai.
In order to get to know your organization's work and your specific marketing needs/questions/concerns, Miriam has written a 5-question survey to be filled out by one person on each ERP team. The survey shouldn't take longer than 10 minutes and the sooner you can fill it out, the better Miriam can hone her presentation to ensure you get the most out of it. Please fill out Miriam's survey by Friday morning (click here!).
To complement Miriam's presentation, we came up with a fun, interactive activity that will get everyone on their feet. Now, we don't want to give the whole thing away, but we'll leave you with the following prompt to start thinking about in preparation for the CoP:
