My new show - The Amazing Story Machine!

Hello JLINC team!

I hope you are all doing well, and that you had lovely holidays. I got to work with Naomi and Shawn at Lab/Shul on the high holidays - it was my first time doing something with Lab/Shul and I loved it!

I have a brand new show that I'm excited to share with all of you. It's a new family friendly show called The Amazing Story Machine, created by my theatre company Doppelskope. It's a puppet theatre show with a positive message about creativity and human connection. The project received a Family Grant from The Jim Henson Foundation and the show will premiere this October at The Tank in Manhattan. It will run on Saturdays and Sundays throughout the month. It's geared towards kids ages 4 and up and fun for all. 

I'm including a show summary below, and you can also find more info and tickets here. If you know any friends or listserves that I should share this info with, any help getting the word out is so appreciated! We're doing it at a venue that doesn't do a ton of kids programming, so we need to bring a lot of the audience. Any ideas are greatly appreciated!

The Amazing Story Machine

The Grimm family is on the verge of unveiling their amazing new Story Machine, which runs on steam and dreams and promises to revolutionize how stories are told and how people connect. When their fabulous contraption malfunctions, they have to invent a new way of storytelling on the spot, using puppets and help from the audience. The Grimms explore some of their favorite fairy tales, including The Hare and the Hedgehog, Hansel and Gretel, and The Brave Little Tailor. The show features multiple styles of puppetry, live music and physical comedy. Geared towards ages 4 and up and fun for all!

The Amazing Story Machine is a recipient of a 2018 Jim Henson Foundation Family Grant, and it is the latest puppet show from the theatre company Doppelskope. More info and tickets here.
