The Touchstone Center
in collaboration with the
City and Country School
is
pleased to present

The Knowing of Play, The Wisdom of Imagining:
How do we preserve what matters for children?

A conversation with teachers, parents, and educators discussing, and reflecting upon, the importance of preserving the innate and instinctive knowledge that is play and imagining – qualities of thought and learning at the very center of childhood. Given the mounting pressure within education to bypass these instinctive abilities, indigenous to children everywhere, it is hoped that this conversation will help us articulate and share the different ways we can contribute towards keeping alive the very nature, and necessity, of childhood itself.
