Dear J-LINCers,
We realize this has been a very difficult summer as we all pray for peace in Israel, Gaza and around the world. Despite the situation weighing on us, we do hope you have had opportunities to rejuvenate and relax!
This summer has brought some staff changes in your organizations, and we are pleased to welcome Elan Margulies and Lauren Greenberg (Teva) and Michal Levine (Areyvut) to our J-LINC community! We look forward to bringing all of you together at a very special and dynamic venue for our first CoP gathering of the year:
Monday, October 6 | 9:30 AM-2:00 PM
Children’s Museum of the Arts
103 Charlton Street (directions here)
Just a reminder that we distributed Amazon gift cards at our June meeting for each of you to buy a special book that will inspire your work with families. We’d love to hear what you chose/are reading—please reply and share back! Keep in mind that we will be discussing your readings as a group on October 6. If you had any trouble activating your card, or need to receive yours, please contact me directly (rpo...@jewishedproject.org).

Please help us get the rest of the year’s CoP meetings on the calendar by participating in a NEW Doodle: https://doodle.com/d96cy2wmbikh8ivd |
As we have now entered into the month of Elul, when we begin preparing ourselves through contemplation and introspection for the year to come, we hope you will take the time to reflect on your J-LINC experiences to date and how you plan to create new relationships and meaningful opportunities for families in the year to come. At this point, you should be in communication with your coach to set up your coaching dates, and with your partner sites to confirm logistics for the fall experiences.
Here are some links and articles that we hope you will find interesting and helpful to your work as you plan for the new programming year:
· Authentic Art Experiences in Early Childhood Education - Free webinar on Tuesday, September 9th
· The Art(s) of Community - eJewishPhilanthropy article on what goes into someone’s decision to join/identify with a particular community
· Exploring Play: The Importance of Play in Everyday Life - Free online course starting September 29th!
· Toddler Timeline - an illustrated guide through “typical” artistic milestones, from the official blog of the Children’s Museum of Arts
We are looking forward to a wonderful year of learning and growing together and will be touch again before the New Year.
Kol tuv and l’hitraot,
The J-LINC team
