Hi Friends,
I was evaluating the IzPack software to use create installers for our
company product. I was really amazed with the features set and liked
it a lot. I downloaded and tried the sample installer. I noticed the
installer has this text on most of the screens:

Made with Izpack - http://www.izpack.org

I assume as per the License, we are not allowed to remove this text
but I would just like to have it confirmed here. I think it doesn't
looks good from a corporate standpoint and as pointed out in the
Izpack documents there's nothing called as "free lunch". Might be the
management has to shed some bucks :)

Cheers
Mick

Nothing forces you to keep the text, even the license, so that's all
up to you :-)

Thanks a lot Julian,
And if you don't mind, can you tell me which file contains that text.
I found the language files have that text and i modified it there but
still when i compile the "sample" code the text shows up.

Is it being picked up from some image? And can be make it a hyperlink,
so that when somebody clicks on it, it actually launches the browser
and takes them to that website?

Your input would be really appreciated.

Thanks

That's just plain text. I don't remember where exacly the text is:
just make a string search in your favorite IDE, re-compile and that
will do.

hi,

as I have done this already I can tell you that the file is in $IZPACK_INSTALLATION_FOLDER\lib\standalone-compiler.jar\bin\langpacks\installer\eng.xml
the simplest way to change it is to use "Total Commander", go to the file in the archive, modify it, save it, and then TC will ask you if you want the jar to be repacked. Choose Yes and that's it.

good luck
