I am pleased to announce the availability of IzPack 4.3.0-rc1 for
testing purposes.

This is the first test version of the next major release (4.3.0) which
is due 21/Apr/2009.

Lots of nice features and fixes are available in this version (see
http://jira.codehaus.org/browse/IZPACK/fixforversion/14763);
* NanoXML removal
* "real" console (interactive or silent) installations
* privileges escalation improvements
* bean scripting framework integration (to have custom scripts in
JavaScript, Groovy, JRuby, etc)
* validators for packs
* ... and more!

There are still a few fixes / documentation JIRA issues open that will
be resolved on time for the final release.

This release is intended for testing, not for production use (yet). We
need as many of you to test it and report any issue you might have so
that we can have a great 4.3.0 release!

It can be downloaded from
http://snapshots.dist.codehaus.org/izpack/IzPack-install-4.3.0-rc1.jar

Many thanks to the developers and contributors for making this release possible!

BTW should you need professional services on IzPack (consulting,
support, custom development), please check out

Cheers
