Take a walk to the pumpkin patch, enjoy a scenic hayride (optional), corn maze, straw maze, pony rides (children only), petting zoo & much more! Feel free to pack a lunch or visit the food vendors we have available.

Owned by Husband and Wife Team, Andy and Amanda Conrad. Our passion for craft beer was born over 17 years ago while developing early recipes as home brewers in college. This passion and love was then scaled to new heights in 2010 during an adventure out west while working as traveling physical therapists. Our visits to many different breweries enabled us to taste a wide variety of great beers, see different brewing techniques, and enjoy the atmosphere of each unique brewery. It was during this time that the initial planning for Sandy Springs Brewing Company began and those experiences have greatly influenced our vision for what is now our own Sandy Springs Brewing Co today.

In 2017 we opened Sandy Springs Brewing Co. We were only able to make our dream come true because of the help and support of our amazing family and friends. During the last 7 years we have been able to build our "dream team" as well. Our team at SSBC goes above and beyond to create an amazing experience to everyone that comes through the door. We are so lucky to have them and call them family. SSBC would not be what it is without all of them!

As a team, we all feel strongly about the history and future of Minerva. We love being located in the old "Filling Station" which dates back to the early 1900s as this beautiful, historic old village of Ohio continues to grow and bring more tourism and business to the heart of downtown Minerva.

The name Sandy Springs originated from our 19th century farm, which is located along Sandy Springs Rd. in Minerva, Oh. The Sandy Spring was a natural spring that fed into the old farmhouse where we currently reside. Our daughter is the 6th generation to live here. There are fond memories of visiting my great grandmother as a child and dipping an old tin cup into the large barrel of water where the spring entered the house. Original plans for the brewery were for it to be located in the farm's old red T-barn that also dated back the 1800's. In fact, we had an inspection in 2013 to determine its structural integrity with positive recommendations that the barn would stand for another 75 years. Sadly, 4 days later after this inspection, it was struck by lightening and burned to the ground. Fortunately, we were able to salvage several of the old and now fire scarred barn beams and floor joists. This wood will be featured throughout our new taproom in downtown Minerva. The tree in our logo symbolizes the old oak tree that stands by itself towering in the center of our farm. We often refer to it as the "Tree of life". It represents the heritage and history of the farm and now 6 generations of family who have come to call it home. Although it was terribly sad to see the old barn burn, we are incredibly excited for our new location of Sandy Springs Brewing Company at the center of downtown Minerva and look forward to being a big part of the growing community. We feature American and European style ales and lagers with an atmosphere that promotes a community and family-centered place to meet, spend great times, and create awesome memories. We look forward to seeing you in our taproom to enjoy with us our local hand-crafted beer.

Our family started making maple syrup back in the 1800's on our farm. We have original signatures and dates that hang in our sugar camp where our ancestors burned their names and year in the wood siding of the old sugar camp as they made syrup over 100 year ago. My father and Uncle re-started the tradition again back in 1994 . We have been producing maple syrup ever since. When we started homebrewing back in 2007, we wondered what would happen if we brewed a beer with no water and using only maple sap from our farms trees. This recipe has been one of our favorites from the very beginning. Each year it typically ends up around 12% ABV (alcohol content). This explains the happiness in the name. We still brew this exact recipe and our friends and family wait all year for the "Happy Sappy" tasting each spring. 2018 will be the first year when brewing "Happy Sappy" on a larger scale nearly 10 times as much as we can produce now. We can't wait to share this beer with you as it has brought many great times to our family and friends over the years.

Tudor Monastery Farm is a British factual television series, first broadcast on BBC Two on 13 November 2013. The series, the fifth in the historic farm series, following the original, Tales from the Green Valley, stars archaeologists Peter Ginn and Tom Pinfold, and historian Ruth Goodman. The team discover what farming was like during the Tudor period at the Weald and Downland Open Air Museum. The program also recurringly features other historians, such as Colin Richards (an expert on rural crafts), and Professor Ronald Hutton (who specializes in folklore and religious beliefs).

On 8 August 2013, the BBC announced the series.[1] David Upshal, the executive producer of Lion Television, said: "We are delighted to be continuing with a new Farm series for BBC Two, taking us back to the earliest point in history we have tackled yet. Following the huge success of the Victorian, Edwardian and Wartime Farms, the new series will see us produce our 50th episode in this on-going, immersive living-history adventure."[1] The series was co-commissioned between Martin Davidson and Aaqil Ahmed.[1]

On 25 November 2013, the BBC announced that Tudor Monastery Farm would have a Christmas special which explored the festive season as part of BBC Two's Christmas scheduling.[5] The episode was broadcast on 31 December 2013 and overnight figures showed that it attracted 1.57 million viewers (8.06% of the viewing audience).[6] Official figures raised the number of viewers to 1.76 million.

Farm Camp, for children in grades 2-10, is located just a hayride away from East Valley Ranch and twelve miles away from Main Camp, is a working farm set on 515 acres, with a barn full of animals and a large organic garden, both of which are tended to by our campers. Here, children learn to care for animals. They cultivate and harvest vegetables. And they learn what it means to live a healthy life and how important it is to take good care of the earth. As they experience the power of community and a shared work ethic, they become interdependent, confident, socially-responsible young leaders. A profound experience, Farm Camp sows the seeds of responsibility, respect, community and stewardship. Campers reap the rewards for a lifetime. While there is a focus on farming, campers will also have a well-rounded camp experience participating in activities like arts and crafts, swimming, boating, playing sports and games, and making lifelong friends.
