I also am unable to open any apps on iPhone 12 did you find a solution. I click on various apps enter my passcode and it hangs and returns back to enter passcode. I have tried switching off and resetting. Did you find a solution?

Hey! Ive just had the same problem. I am answering to that question later, but I hope if anyone sees it and has the same problem - none apps can't be open by touching the icon or turning off the iPhone, here is my solution. I just clicked the buttons for volume up and down and the button for turning off the iPhone together and waiting for around 30 seconds, it just went black and there was a circle loading and then it all went off. I clicked the turn on button and when it turned on, everything was okay. I hope it works for you too, guys! :)

In my case, apps would not load but I was able to restart the iphone 12 without difficulty. The apps would not load still after several restarts of the phone.

I tried the solutions offered here without success--Apps would not load. Resolved finally when I found that I had a VPN connected and then disconnected the VPN.

Once the VPN was not connected, the Apps immediately loaded and worked normally.

I have been having the same issue with my iPhone 12 Pro for awhile now. In addition to the screen freezing, unable to open any apps or restart the phone, I cant even swipe up The app just get stuck in the middle of the screen instead of closing when swiped to close. Apple has been very unhelpful. I have had to rest my phone to factory settings a couple of time. When i had the beta ios, i kept reporting the issue to via the feedback assistant because the support team could resolve the issue and never got any response back. I was actually at the apply store today and the same old fix of resetting to factory setting was done but the issue occurred not long after that . Complete waste of my time. It is getting extremely frustrating to use the phone. Very disappointed to say the least.

I recently have the iphone 12 pro max and it is having a problem where its frozen on the lock screen on a tab and it wont let me power off my phone or get into any other apps. Iphone has been giving me so much problems and its getting ridiculous. I would expect a 12 pro max to be a good phone and better but clearly not. Trying these techniques are not helping me at all. I would like to know why this is happening.

It's certainly troublesome when your iPhone 12 stops responding and you can't open any apps or restart the device. A useful first step is to perform a force restart; this doesn't erase any data but can often resolve issues when the phone is unresponsive. For your iPhone 12, press and quickly release the Volume Up button, then do the same with the Volume Down button. After that, press and hold the Side button until the Apple logo appears, then release it. This is the best solution that i have opted buddy.

Agreed, thissAndrew. I have been using iPhone/ipad simultaneously since version 1 of each and worked at apple for a time. Having many open apps adversely affects battery life and performance regardless of what Apple or anyone else says. I have witnessed improvements in both categories many times with speed of apps freshly opened with no others running and also not watching battery drain rapidly while nothing has changed except apps where closed. Freeing up resources always results in performance increase. In my experience lately however there is one that is notorious for both symptoms which is safari last 2 versions. Simply closing it and switching to chrome often clears it up in the only close the problem scenario.

Since I turned to iPhone photography in 2012, I have tried to find ways to make low noise and sharp photos at night with my iPhone. This blog post will outline three ways to do night photography with iPhone and show you which apps and accessories I use.

All of the three camera apps I use for taking photos at night with iPhone have a dedicated low light or night mode. Slow Shutter Cam App was one of the first apps to offer such a night mode. Then came low light mode in ProCamera App and finally Apple released the night mode in the stock iPhone camera app.

As noise occures randomly in a photo, layering multiple exposures basically allows you to completely eliminate noise that often occures in photos taken a t night. Moreover, similar to HDR, some algorithms will even improve the exposure.

Apple introduced night mode with the release of the iPhone 11 and iOS 13. Night mode was originally only available for use with the standard wide lens. iPhone 13 and iOS 15 now allow you to use night mode with all three lenses (if you have a pro model). So, as of May 2022, night mode works with all iPhone 11, 12, and 13 models. To my knowledge, it does not work with iPhone SE models.

If the iPhone camera app detects a low light scene, it automatically enables night mode. That's indicated by a night mode symbol in the upper left corner of the screen that also displays the exposure time like 2 seconds in the screenshot below.

To show the exposure adjustment slider in night mode, tap the night mode icon in the upper left corner of the screen. Then this slider will appear at the bottom of the screen. Now you can manually adjust the exposure time suggested by the camera app.

Did you notice the Lux+ icon on the left side of the screen? ProCamera will apply an extra boost to the exposure time by tapping it and enables you to take well-lit photos in challenging low light situations. I use it mainly when photographing inside abandoned buildings.

Please choose the Low Light mode to take photos in low light situations. Because I can manually adjust ISO and shutter speed, Slow Shutter Cam app is my preferred app for really challenging light conditions. You won't find that level of control in the stock camera app or the ProCamera app.

Once you've chosen low light mode, set the noise reduction, shutter speed, and ISO. I generally recommend setting noise reduction to low and ISO to a value around 100 or even lower. If you set noise reduction to anything higher than low, you may kill all the fine details in your photo. If you set ISO to a value higher than 100, your image may be noisy.

The recommended shutter speed depends on the amount of light you have. There is no rule of thumb for this setting. I recommend taking a picture and then checking if you need to increase or decrease the shutter speed. Yes, it's a bit of a trial and error, but it's worth the effort.

If you use the night mode of either the stock camera app or ProCamera App, you most likely won't need a tripod if the shutter speed is around 1 second. For any longer shutter speed, I strongly encourage you to use a tripod like the ultra-portable Joby Griptight magnetic or the Rollei Traveller No. 1. I use both of these two tripods. Read my Joby Griptight magnetic review or head to my review of the Rollei Traveller No. 1 tripod.

Whether you're a new iPhone owner or a veteran power user, there's always a new app out there worth checking out. 2 million, in fact, according to Apple, making it somewhat of a challenge to find the ones that are most useful for you.

Luckily, it's our job to recommend the best in tech, and that goes for the apps you use. Below, we're breaking down the 12 apps every iPhone owner should download once their device is set up.

If you are a frequent flier, you have to check out Flighty. It's one of the most popular (and visually beautiful) flight trackers for the iPhone, with interactive maps, delay predictions, up-to-the-second notifications, pilot-grade FAA data integration, and more. It's an incredibly robust experience and one that no airline's proprietary app comes close to replicating.

Nowadays, there are a lot of different ways of taking control of your finances and building towards a better future. One of the best apps you can use for this is Rocket Money, which lets you connect all of your bank accounts, credit cards, crypto accounts, investments, and more and develop a bird's eye view of where your money is going, how much you're spending, investing, saving, and more. Plus, it can help you track down those pesky subscriptions that, if we're being honest, slip away from even the sharpest among us.
