I have just been given some interesting news from Anil that Jaguar is keen engaging with us for a community level awareness and education drive. For starters I think this is great news that corporations are keen on working with IYCN in a big way. 

For this Sunday's event I am told that we need to engage a small gated community in Gachibowli where about 120 households will be participating so that is indeed a big audience with a mix of kids, youth and working adults from various backgrounds. 

Here are some of the ideas for an event that they expect to organize with us from 10 AM to 4PM. 

a. A quiz competition for kids

b. A climate change presentation for the households.

c. A movie screening. 

d. A waste management presentation and demonstration if possible.

e. Talk about IYCN and our activities and plans for this year. 

f.  Talk about the groundwater recharge project with HSBC.

g. Activities with the community on Sunday like wall paints, poster making, painting etc that will stay inside the gated community.

h. Anything else creative that you guys could come up with ?

Jaguar is keen on working with us in the future and intends to take climate change seriously and has allocated a good chunk of their budget for this purpose. 

For now, we are looking at our team for a couple of volunteers who will be able to take this up. So can anybody volunteer to take this up ? You all did well with Earth Hour, now lets pull up our socks again and do something exciting with these households. Please respond to this email and let Anil know.
