To: "CANSA" <ca...@googlegroups.com>

Dear All,

Please find attached a very informative and useful document that was forwarded to me a short while back, giving the basic and important information about Rio+20 meeting.  This document has been put together by Vitae Civilus and has all the important dates of not just the high level segment but pre-meeting dates and other crucial information.

I apologise for cost posting in case you all have it, but considering that a number of organisation/s are looking at the Rio meeting as an important fora, here it is.

Cheers,

Srini

WOW! This is the first time I could imagine the scale of these UN
conferences.(I'm wondering, how sad that most of us have been so
oblivious of the importance these events have, and most of us still
are). And it feels good to see that these people are actually
emphasizing on making the masses around the world notice such BIG
things happening, rather than confining the intensity to just the
delegates in conference halls.Such mass campaigns for conferences is
an excellent way to get rid of "Everything is fine.Nothing bad is
happening.It's no big deal.Even if there's something wrong,no action
is taken" kinda feelings from people. When we see the news saying "UN
conference held" it fails to strike an impact.Involving the civic
society is an awesome idea! When WE see such an effort, we realize
it's not a joke.We are inspired to be concerned and get involved. It
makes us feel a part of something BIGGGG, for real.
(And the document is very helpful for us to learn good formal writing
skills-proposal writing and all)
Thanks for sharing!
