There is a fire in your Life, which has burnt and smoked out a deep desire of your heart. It has gone into nothing, without hope; you are wondering saying, "did I not give my life into the hand of Christ?"; yes you gave it and HE consumed it from you as a burnt offering through fire HE sent from heaven; now what remains is the ashes of it; the flesh is burnt, but wait! not all is over; it is just the beginning; the Spirit is giving new life to the burnt, sacrificed life of yours. The spirit is giving new life to the Ashes of your life, which now you will live for his glory.

I will now provide for those who mourn— to give them a garland instead of *ashes*, the oil of gladness instead of mourning, the mantle of praise instead of a faint spirit. They will be called oaks of righteousness, the planting of the Lord, to display his glory.
