நாம் - முதல் தலைமுறை

தந்தை + தாய் - இரண்டாம் தலைமுறை

பாட்டன் + பாட்டி - மூன்றாம் தலைமுறை

பூட்டன் + பூட்டி - நான்காம் தலைமுறை

ஓட்டன் + ஓட்டி -
ஐந்தாம் தலைமுறை

சேயோன் + சேயோள் -
ஆறாம் தலைமுறை

பரன் + பரை - ஏழாம் தலைமுறை

ஒரு தலைமுறை - சராசரியாக 60 வருடங்கள் என்று கொண்டால்,

ஏழு தலைமுறை - 480 வருடங்கள்..

ஈரேழு தலைமுறை - 960 வருடங்கள்..

(கிட்டத்தட்ட ஆயிரம் வருடங்கள்)
ஆக, பரம்பரை பரம்பரையாக என்று சொல்வதன் பொருள் ஈரேழு, பதினான்கு தலைமுறையாக என்று பொருள் வரும். எனக்கு தெரிந்து, வேறெந்த மொழிகளிலும்
இப்படி உறவு முறைகள் இல்லை..

இதுவும் தமிழுக்கு ஒரு தனிச் சிறப்பு!..
