Hi all,
We're picking up the pace at IxDA Toronto and already have our next
event planned (woo!). We're still working on setting a date, but it
will be in the first week of December.
We are looking for a bunch of volunteers to present short (10-ish
minute) talks on any IxD-related topic of their choice.
Last time (August 2009), we had talks like the following:
- Introduction to HTML & Javascript Prototyping (Matt Nish-Lapidus)
- Input Technologies - Pros and Cons (Ian Hooper)
- The Best Firefox Add-Ons for Interaction Designers (Meredith Noble)
- Introduction to Axure (Iain Lowe)
Talks can be on ANYTHING as long as you think it will be relevant to
the community. Slides aren't required. The atmosphere will be relaxed,
and we'll encourage discussion amongst the group. This is all about
sharing tips, ideas, and knowledge between practitioners.
Things you could do:
- Demo a tool you've found useful
- Teach us about an interesting UX concept or idea
- Share how your mentorship relationship has been working so far
- Show us an interesting new interaction you found online or designed
yourself
If you're even the slightest bit interested in presenting... email or
tweet us! We're at
toront...@ixda.org or @IxDAToronto on Twitter.
Hoping to hear from you,
Meredith, Matt, Jeff and Iain
