Martial art films have always been fun, but not oftenly super
intelligent. Until Fearless, no one really demonstrated the spirit of
Martial Art like Bruce Lee. Jet Li brought the definition of power to a
new level, through his almost ballet like kung fu moves, he chose to
tell a story of human being, falling from the hunger of fame to the
rising of self-respect and soul searching. I have never seen such depth
in a martial art movie about fighting itself. What a fantastic job by
Jet Li!
More admiration goes to Jet Li for his willingness to truly express his
ideal and understanding. For someone who is this influential in both
east and west, he chose this movie as his messenger, to deliver such a
wise, subtle and inspiring spirit. It is a shame that people in martial
art films seldom got nominated for any awards...but I guess this movie
does not need the award validation, it has won our heart like a breeze.
