Hi All,
Clay, Bob and I, traveled to Maine this past weekend for the Kennel
Shop's Dockdog Event and had a blast!
Bob handle the long trip, the hotel and all the noise. His first
official national DD jump was 15' even. He bettered that with a 16'4"
jump to get into the Amateur finals. He had a few 14' + jumps and had
a few placements, but unfortunately did not earn a title. But I was
thrilled he made finals at 9 months old and his first event. On
Sunday, it poured. The rain did not let up at all and apparently Bob
was not interested in jumping that day! So even though he made the
finals, he did not jump:). But I was so proud of my little boy!
Clay was being Clay and really wasn't interested in jumping. He had a
couple of 14' jumps. He just wanted to go shopping and get all the
free treats the vendors were handing out. On Sunday, Clay wouldn't
even get out of the car, it was raining!
Hope to see some of you at the Codorus event in 2 weeks. This is
Keystone's best event in a lake. If you didn't register online, get
there early and sign up. We are only opening up 10 walk-up spots. This
event was filled up online in less than 2 days! We will also be
holding an event in Lancaster, PA in July at That Fish Place/That Pet
Place.

Kellie,
Good for Bob... and I hope Clay had a good time watching the action.  Did you get any photos?
