applications for a 2010-2011 Spanish Intern position with possibility
of renewal. The appointee will prepare and conduct Spanish practice
sessions, the Spanish Conversation Table, and other cultural learning
activities in collaboration with the Spanish faculty. The Spanish
Intern will also attend regular in-house language teaching training
and weekly coordination meetings with the Spanish faculty.
Qualifications include:
Native or near native Spanish language skills and a Bachelor’s degree
required (MA preferred). Preferred fields: Spanish pedagogy, Spanish
linguistics, ESL, or Education. Relevant teaching training and
experience are preferred. Excellent oral and written communication
skills, interpersonal skills and judgment; ability to multitask and
follow verbal and written instructions. Computer experience on a
Macintosh, and familiarity with word processing applications and
course management systems such as Blackboard or Moodle is preferred.
