using my own icon instead of apple_touch_icon

Hi everyone

iWebKit is a fantastic resource. I really enjoyed using it and
learning from it. Thank you!

My question may be really dumb.

I replaced the default iwebkit icon with my own.

<link href="apple-touch-icon.png" rel="apple-touch-icon" />

to

<link href="ibird-touch-icon.png" rel="ibird-touch-icon" />

Uploaded it to my server. But when I add it to the home page I keep
getting the old apple_touch_icon. Am I doing something wrong?

You MUST have the link rel attribute as apple-touch-icon - you can't
change that to anything you like. It is probably best to just rename
your own image to apple-touch-icon.png and use the original link tag.

delete the old icon from your server. The iphone even detects it
without the code in the head tag so if you simply remove the image it
will look at the code in the <head> and display your image :)

I understand that the iWebKit is not supposed work with regular browsers but
mine seems to work fine.
Have things in the kit changed or am I missing some thing?

It should work alright with all browsers yes (just not internet
explorer)
