Is the product of [m]A[/m] and [m]B[/m] equal to 1?

  1. [m]A * B * A = A[/m]
  2. [m]B * A * B = B[/m]

(C) 2008 GMAT Club - [t]m01#36[/t]

  • Statement (1) ALONE is sufficient, but Statement (2) ALONE is not sufficient
  • Statement (2) ALONE is sufficient, but Statement (1) ALONE is not sufficient
  • BOTH statements TOGETHER are sufficient, but NEITHER statement ALONE is sufficient
  • EACH statement ALONE is sufficient
  • Statements (1) and (2) TOGETHER are NOT sufficient

Also, in DS question, if we get a common answer from two , option should we select the answer as C?

For example, from (1), the answer comes 3 & 4
From statement (2), the answer comes 4 & 8.

Since, 4 is a common answer, so can the answer for a DS question be C??
