We wanted to keep everyone up to date on upcoming events.  This is going to be a LONG email unfortunately, but 

there is A LOT of exciting events happening this month, and some registration deadlines coming up - Don't Miss Out!

SEPTEMBER HAPPENINGS:

INVOLVEMENT FAIR (SEPT 9 Student Union, 2-8PM)

We need volunteers to cover the hours of 2-8 on Wednesday, Sept 9, in SU Room 304 - Table 56

We hope to recruit many new Freshman and get them involved!  Email us back times you can cover ASAP

ACTION (MON SEPT 14, Wilbur Cross, 7PM)

This will be the first meeting that many new recruits come to.  Come Help Us Make a Big Impression!

PRAYER WALK (MON SEPT 21, meet at Wilbur Cross, 7PM)

Part of our new mission for Fall 2009 is to work towards "transforming" the UConn campus through faith and prayer. 

Join us for a night of quiet prayer for the UConn's many institutions, culminating atop Horsebarn Hill for closing 

prayers and worship in view of the entire campus.

Also, COMMITMENTS for the 2009 Fall Conference at Toah Nipi are due at this meeting (See Below)!

GUEST SPEAKER Barbara Ettinger (MON SEPT 28, 7:30, Location TBA)

Topic "But God, I can't do THAT!!!" a look at Moses' conversation with God

--making excuses, or going for it with God.

Barbara Ettinger, is currently in the process of raising funds to become as the new full time Central Connecticut 

Area Director for Intervarsity.  For this event we will be joined by members of another campus fellowship 

Regeneration.

UPCOMING DEADLINES:

INTERVARSITY  FALL CONFERENCE at Toah Nipi (OCT 30, 31, NOV 1st).

The Fall Conference event is a chance to explore faith and prayer in new ways in the beautiful surroundings 

of the Toah Nipi retreat center near Keene New Hampshire.

We are hoping to get USG funding for this event, so we need your COMMITMENT to go by Sept 21, 2009

Its may seem a bit early to be planning for November, but this is your chance to go for FREE!
