Surah Al Baqarah is the second and longest chapter of the Quran, consisting of 286 verses. It covers various topics such as faith, guidance, law, morality, jihad, and social justice. It is also known as the "Cow" because it mentions the story of the cow that the Israelites were commanded to sacrifice by Allah.
Many Muslims recite Surah Al Baqarah for protection, blessings, and rewards from Allah. The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said: "Do not make your houses like graves, for Satan runs away from a house in which Surah Al Baqarah is recited." (Sahih Muslim 780)
