Hello Andrew,

I always absolutely want to help newbies test ivozprovider out. On Proxmox you need to add two virtual NICs to your VM, assign both NICs static IPs before starting up the VM. I am located in GMT+1 and happy to jump on Zoom or Google meet call to help get you started. Let me know how I can get in touch with you. I am available all weekend.

You need to have two separate NICs (with two separate IPs) on your Proxmox VM.

Creating a new/2nd NIC Proxmox Web UI
1. Login to Proxmox Web UI.
2. Select the VM you want to modify.
3. Go to Hardware > Add > Network Device.
4. In the dialog:
Bridge: Select vmbr0
Model: Choose VirtIO (paravirtualized) (recommended)
Click Add
5. Repeat the above to add the second NIC.

Best Regards

Airsay, you are awesome. I think i can do it, but i may take you up on it, just to say hi, if nothing else. What would be a good time tomorrow for you. i am in gmt -4 and i have to use the virtualized one. I was able to easily add two nics for proxmox, but getting both to work without further futzing around with the gw and the node, it would not go, and i didnt want to do that, as it simply makes no sense. Like i said, i think i can set it up with a virtualized nic, and Bob's your uncle.
