Hello!

Just a heads up that we'll be proxeing from noon - 1pm tomorrow (Wednesday). We might do a limited version of the proxe and more of the traditional tabling, so if you are free then, feel free to join us and help us get the word out about One Last Day of Summer and our first Intersect!

Take care,

- Kiel

Hey all!

Thanks to everyone who has signed up to help with the proxe station this week! God has been doing some great things through encounters we have had so far, so thank you for being willing to be a part of how God is moving!

What is a proxe station, you ask? Well, it is a physical, interactive medium that opens up conversations with people about God in the framework of a particular topic. For the past week or so, we have been doing the Choices campaign, in which we ask people what do they want to become, what steps do they feel they need to take in order to get there, and who or what influences these choices they make. As people share about what they want to become, we invite them to think about how God can affect the choices they are making and invite them to explore God through InterVarsity by way of events going on this week. It has been cool to see people think about if/how God influences these choices - some people for the first time - and to see God working in the conversations we have with people from all walks of life.

There is still a slot open for Friday morning (11am - 12:30pm) to help out, and Wednesday is currently wide open. There will only be one proxeing shift on Wednesday, from 11am - 1pm, and we still need 3 or 4 people who would be willing to help out during that shift. If you are interested in helping, please sign up, even if you have signed up for another slot already. With One Last Day of Summer coming later that afternoon and our first Intersect the next day, we see Wednesday as a key day to invite people to what we are doing this week. If you have not done a proxe station before, that is fine too. We can train you on the spot!

Here is the document to sign up: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0AhFeYanfnhItdERISWFkbGlmM2RWbE8yQXAwampZRFE&hl=en_US# Please check it out and sign up for one of the open slots for Wednesday, and Kiel Russell (new intern this year!) will email you about when and where to meet.

Hope you had a great first day of classes!! And we hope to see you this week at IV!
