What steps will reproduce the problem?
1.Go to github page
2. Look at default rendering of README doc.
3. It isn't as pretty as the ones that use Markdown.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Github users expect a README.md with pretty formatting.

Please use labels and text to provide additional information.

Easy to fix. I actually prefer a real README.txt file. Use the softlink
trick. Then you can decide how to migrate the Text formatting to Markdown.
