Dear IUDI Pune members,
Please see this email (below) from Arunava Dasgupta fro Delhi, who was kind enough to clarify some membership doubts. This may help in solving your doubts as well. One time Membership fees for Associate memberships is Rs.3000/- and annual charges are Rs.750/-. Fellow membership is Rs.5000 and annual fees for teh same is Rs.1200/-. Anyone above the age of 35 can automatically apply for fellow membership. Any clarificatiosn regarding subscription can be addressed to subscript...@udesindia.org.

PS. Dear KT / Arunav, if there are any changes in the above information, or in the information you supplied in July 2009 (in the email below), kindly inform us through replying to this IUDI Pune googlegroup. Also, if there are any revisions or discounts/schemes in the joining fee that you feel is likely to encourage more members in joining, then kindkly inform us as well as soon as possible. As of now, any member seeking membership in February will have to pay the annual subscription again in April, which is bit of a unnecessary load. Pune chapter has very few members as of now, and we wish to reverse this as quickly as possible.

Thanks for your mail and sorry for the confusion! Our website is minimally finctional as of now and is presently getting re-done. I have added my answers in red to the queries in your mail below.

Also, we have quite a few urban designers in Pune now including from SPA as well as CEPT. Like Bangalore, Ahmedabad and Kolkata, we are hoping to launch a Pune IUDI center asap. Can we ask for your help and support for the same?

Some questions not answered on the website:

1) Cheque / DD in favour of ...?

Not opened yet. We accept upto three year subscriptions at a time, with no discounts on fees but protected against any inflation!
3) Duration of annual membership... ie. Jan-Jan, Jul-Jul or 12 months applicable from any month? That is, if I pay subscription fee and register now, do I have to pay next year's fee again in January or something?

Subscriptions are due on April1, each year no matter when we register. However, applications received in March are accepted for membership tenures beginning April onwards.
4) Do you have any magazines / publications that I can also subscribe too?

We are in the process of bringing out our first publication. We do have a committee on Research and Publications in place that has begun looking at this.
5) Membership charges at present (asking because the website seems backdated and I want to be sure)

Charges are as mentioned in the .doc download form from the website(no change). Please ignore the PDF version in the Objectives Page.

6) Address to send application to. Confusion between SPA, Vaishali (Ghaziabad), or Maharani Bagh

Also, please note that the PDF version of the Application form on the website is not visible for download on the Application Form, while, the PDF form at the bottom of http://www.udesindia.org/objectives.shtml is significantly different in format from the DOC version of the same in the Application form webpage. Kindly clarify.

Please follow the .doc download form from the website. Ignore the PDF version at the bottom of the Objectives Page.
