IUCN Red List Assessor Training opportunity

The IUCN Red List Unit and Arizona State University (ASU) are planning a 3-4 day IUCN Red List Assessor Training workshop, hosted by AZU in October (17-20 October, 2017). This workshop will teach participants how to apply the IUCN Red List Categories and Criteria for global IUCN Red List assessments, supporting information requirements for IUCN Red List assessments, and how to use the IUCN Species Information Service (SIS) for preparing and submitting assessments for publication on The IUCN Red List.

This workshop is being provided free of charge to, however participants must cover costs of their own travel and accommodation. Priority for participation is being given to IUCN SSC Specialist Group members who are either new to red listing or would like to refresh their Red List skills.

The IUCN Red List Unit is offering 3 places on this training course to the Bumblebee Specialist Group. If you are interested in participating, please contact Caroline Pollock in the IUCN Red List Unit (caroline...@iucn.org) by 14th August.

All the best,

Caroline
