Hello,

the next Alpine Bombus International Meeting, 2018 Edition, will take place at the Ecrins National Park, France, FR. This is the dedicated website  https://alpinebombus.wixsite.com/abim.

In 2016, we gathered togehter and had 3 days of exciting discussions and excursions in Turin and Gran Paradiso National Park (Italy). For the 2018 edition, Ecrins National Park was chosen.

We will probably structure the meeting in a similar way as in 2016: 1 day of conference,1 day of sampling in different localities of the Park at high altitudes and a final day with either a short excursion or a final meeting to drive conclusions and plans. There will be also a social lunch on the third day.

In total would be 3 days, from 29 July to 31 of July. However, there is the possibility of doing 4 days of meeting (2 days of excursion), but it might be too long given that July is a busy sampling period for many of us, I am open to discussion/suggestions about this or other aspects, by email at alpine...@gmail.com.

We are defining the details about the program.

best wishes

Dear Paolo,

Can you possibly tell me which of the talks and posters presented at your
2016 conference in Italy have been published? I am interested in
summarizing the European bumble bee status and causes of decline. I have
read the Vereecken 2016 paper.

Thank you for your assistance and I hope the 2018 conference has good
success.

Regards,
Sydney Cameron

I can attach my collagues and mine reserch that was published in 2017 on the rare Bombus alpinus helleri in the Alps. For the other participants, unfortunately I do not know. In the book of abstract (attached) there are also the emails of the people who attended, you may email them personally.

best,
Paolo
